A famous art museum based in Detroit hired Scalan Labs to build an interactive digital signage software for displaying key information at crucial standpoints in the establishment. Broadcasting dynamic and engaging content for museum visitors via touchscreen kiosks and wall mounted LCD/LED screens was what the client anticipated from the product.
The concept of a museum digital signage was to visually communicate with visitors and share latest information in the form of slideshows, videos, scrolling tickers, high-resolution images, etc.
Digital content included the following:

- General information like hours of operation and ticket prices
- Wayfinding maps

- New exhibit(s) updates

We developed the software by considering technical specifications like aspect ratio and resolution, design specifications like usage of bold colors and fonts, and by integrating videos and HD images.
Also, the signage layout has been properly designed to include all the relevant details along with interactive functionalities for providing visitors with a self-guiding experience.
Scalans envisioned the software as a SaaS service – a single cloud-based content management platform which can be operated without the need for any on-premise servers. Using this service model, the client could easily schedule content through their in-house computers and set dates and times for displaying the same on signage screens.
The interactive digital signage solution transformed the traditional outlook of the museum and gave it a modern look and feel, thereby enriching the visitor’s aesthetic experience. The product also entertained the audience and captured their imagination through engaging visual effects.
